John Chunn

John Chunn is the Designated Broker and founder of Texas Land Consultants. A licensed Texas broker with a background in public policy and accountancy, he has spent his career building the systems behind brokerage operations rather than chasing transactions — and has served in leadership at the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®, including chairing its Governmental Affairs Committee, as well as at the state and national association level.

He works out of Hondo and covers the Hill Country and South Texas brush country. His operating view is that a land firm should be judged on what it does in year five of ownership, not on closing day.

Lindsay Chunn

Lindsay Chunn is a wildlife biologist and the Director of Property Management at Texas Land Consultants. She writes and files the wildlife management plans that convert qualifying open-space land to wildlife management use, designs the habitat practices behind them, and — because she also runs the firm's management operation — makes sure the work on paper actually happens on the ground.

That integration is the whole argument. Everywhere else in farm and ranch, these are separate people: a consultant flies in, writes a plan, and invoices; a caretaker mows around it; nobody owns the outcome and the plan sits in a drawer until the appraisal district asks a question. Here the guzzlers get installed, the senderos get cut, the census gets run, and the annual documentation gets filed by the same operation that wrote the plan.

Habitat work stops being a report and becomes a work order. This is the single strongest sentence in the firm and it leads every wildlife conversation.
