Land for Sale in Bandera County

Bandera County is Hill Country in the full sense — limestone, cedar and live oak, steep draws, and long views that carry a real premium over comparable acreage further south. The Medina River runs through the middle of it, and river frontage here is among the most sought-after land in our entire service area.

The county trades primarily on recreation. Whitetail and exotic hunting, weekend places, and cabin sites make up most of the volume, with working cattle operations concentrated in the flatter western reaches toward Vanderpool and Medina.

Buyers should pay close attention to access and terrain. A tract with dramatic elevation may have very little of it that is actually buildable, and wet-weather crossings can isolate a property for days at a time.
